How to Evacuate a Refrigeration or Air Conditioning System
This product is unavailable for purchase
Present day techniques of evacuation are meant to clean refrigeration and air conditioning systems to a degree never before reached in this trade. A good vacuum pump will eliminate 99.99% of the air and all of the moisture in a system if used properly. Moisture within a system will eventually react chemically with the compressor oil to form sludge. Further, the water will react with the refrigerant to form hydrochloric acid. Any of these combinations will seriously affect the performance and longevity of the system. Learn More

How to Recover Liquid Refrigerant With a Refrigerant Recovery Reclaimer
This product is unavailable for purchase
One of the most common questions we get asked regarding refrigerant recovery or evacuation is how to remove the refrigerant quickly with a recovery system by removing the refrigerant in liquid form.

Whilst there are some recovery systems which can cope with direct liquid recovery, the majority can only be used to remove refrigerant in its gas state, which we all know can take an eternity. Learn More
The Basics of Refrigeration and Measuring Heat and Temperature

Air conditioners (and furnaces) are specified by the number of British Thermal Units (BTUs) required to cool or remove moisture from a space. Depending on the room and the outside air, a 5000 BTU air conditioner could reduce the temperature by 1 degree or 15 degrees F. It is totally dependent on the thermostat to know when to cycle off.

The point is that heat and temperature are not the same. They even have the different units: BTU's or degrees. It is important to know the difference.
